We know what makes a healthy body and mind so it is only fitting we pass this onto you.

It’s not Viagra he needs… it’s testosterone

All too often, men are reaching for the ‘little blue pills’ as a cure for their flagging libido and erections, often doctors are mistakenly giving them out as a quick fix.  Drugs such as Viagra, Levitra and Cialis belong to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors, which were initially developed to treat Ischaemic Heart Disease due to their vasodilatory effects.  During clinical drug trials men noted stronger erections, due to the improved blood flow to the penis, causing the drug companies to rethink their target audience and organ!  Whilst they increase blood flow to the penis, you need sexual stimulation and a healthy libido for successful sexual arousal. There are many factors associated with having a healthy libido, but for men, having a healthy testosterone level is definitely one.  The latest evidence suggests normalising testosterone before prescribing phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors has the most benefit.

Modern medicine is all too often short sighted, looking for short term gains rather not long term solutions…
